EDUPLAN/EX – A SOLUTION WITH THE BEST BUSINESS VALUE
Lama has been a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for over 10 years, which is confirmed with this award. As the leading IT company in Dalmatia, Lama d.o.o. received an award for solution with the best business value in small company category for its EduPlan/EX system.
The solution enables the planning and keeping record of classes and class attendance with classrooms access control, automated production of timetable for class facilities in the academic year. EduPlan/EX enables the reporting for the needs of state administration and statistics.
Ivan Vidaković, the General Manager of Microsoft Croatia, explained that the recipients, including Lama d.o.o., are software companies from Croatia which develop general as well as specific and adjusted solutions based on Microsoft technologies, and which enable faster, better and more effective performance business activities in the whole ICT sector.
THE FIRST PRIZE – TESLA’S GOLDEN EGG – WAS GIVEN TO INNOVATION: "IPNAS: THE INTELLIGENT FIREFIGHTING SYSTEM"
In the Zagreb Regent Esplanade hotel “Vidi e-novation” awards were given today to the most innovative Croatian high-tech products and services in 2007.
Cofounders and partners of the “Vidi e-novation” and “Vidi Web Top 100” Awards, apart from the IT publishing company Vidi, spoke highly of prominent Croatian and international companies and organizations such as the Ruđer Bošković Institute, T-Croatian Telecom, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dalekovod, Hrvatska poštanska banka and Podravka.
2006 was the first year in which the “Vidi e-novation” awards were given to highly innovative IT-telecommunication products and services which were, in the jury’s opinion, highly competitive in the world market. Out of 29 products and services which received awards last year, 10 of them were successfully implemented on international markets – in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Estonia, USA, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Ethiopia...
In accordance with the assessment of the jury, the competition at the “Vidi e-novation 2007” was even stronger, and the potential of international success of this year’s “Vidi e-novation” laureates was increased.
Last year the “Vidi e-novation” Award was renamed to “Tesla’s Egg”, after the famous experiment conducted by Nikola Tesla. At the World Exposition in Chicago in 1893 Tesla conducted an experiment with a metal egg demonstrating one of the effects of the rotating magnetic field in a popular way by making the metal egg stand on its top as a result of it rotation around its axis.
